Salted Caramel is a True Indulgence

1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

Start by heating the granulated sugar in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over a high heat. Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon until the sugar dissolves and turns amber.
Carefully add the heavy cream to the caramel, stirring constantly. The mixture will foam.
Once the cream is well combined, add the unsalted butter and continue stirring until melted and the mixture becomes smooth and shiny.Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the sea salt. Adjust quantity according to your taste preferences.

Let the caramel cool before transferring to a glass jar or airtight container.
You can use salted butter caramel as a topping on ice cream, topping desserts, or even use it as a dipping sauce for fruit.
