Homemade bread: delicious and easy to make

70 ml warm water
70 ml warm milk
1 tablespoon dry yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons melted butter
320g Flour
Half a teaspoon salt
3 cloves of garlic
60 g butter
1 teaspoon of honey
Mozzarella cheese
Egg yolk and a teaspoon of milk

In a small bowl, put hot water, warm milk and dry yeast and sugar. mix. Let sit until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.

Beat the eggs in another bowl and add the melted butter. Mix well.

Mix the flour and salt in a large bowl. Add the yeast mixture to the egg and oil mixture in a large bowl. Mix until smooth.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 to 7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a clean cloth and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour, that is, until it doubles in size.

While the dough is resting, prepare the garlic and grated cheese. In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, chopped parsley, oil, salt and honey.

After the resting period, preheat the oven to 180° C.

Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured work surface. Share the garlic and cheese evenly over the dough.

Roll out the dough like a roll and place it on a greased tray.

In a small bowl, mix the egg yolk with a tablespoon of milk. Spread this mixture on the bread. Sprinkle poppy seeds on top if desired.

Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is cooked through.

Remove from the oven and let it cool before cutting and serving.
