Salt and pepper to taste
4 medium potatoes
Olive oil (optional)
Aluminum foil

Start by washing the potatoes and rinse thoroughly under running water to remove all dirt.
Dry the potatoes with paper towels.
Cut each potato several times with a fork to allow air to escape during cooking.
Add salt, pepper and olive oil to the potatoes if necessary.
Remove four large aluminum squares that will fit around the potatoes.
Place each potato in the center of the square.
Wrap each potato tightly in a file, making sure there are no holes or gaps.
Arrange the wrapped potatoes in a single layer in the pan.
Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours, on high heat for 3-4 hours or until the potatoes are tender when pierced.
After cooking, carefully remove the wrapped potatoes from the pot.
Drain each potato and serve hot. You can choose to add your favorite toppings such as butter, cream, chives or grated cheese.
