How to make homemade chocolate chip cookies, step by step
Here’s the part A very quick overview of what you can expect when making chocolate chip cookies from scratch:
Preheat the oven to 475°
Prepare a baking tray lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking
In a baking bowl Mix well, mix together flour, cornstarch, salt and baking soda
Cut butter into small pieces (as shown in the video)
In a larger bowl, mix butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla extract
Stir gently dry ingredients (flour, cornstarch, salt, etc.) in largest bowl along with butter/eggs/sugar mixture (as described) in video)
Add chocolate chips and optional nuts. Mix gently until well combined.
Using a large spoon (tablespoon), form cookie dough balls and place them on the baking sheet.
Bake for 6-7 minutes or until the tops turn golden/brown (keep an eye on them). 🙂
Remove from oven and let cool (they will continue to cook on the inside as they cool)
For the softest cookies, eat them while they are still warm, not completely cool
